Los residuos humanos: entre la nuda vita y la política criminal, de Italy Cianni
Main Article Content
Abstract
Perhaps due to the influence of television and film adaptations, "Law" has become a word that enjoys considerable popularity. It evokes memories of a good Western or one of those intriguing forensic dramas. In the courageous reflections presented in this insightful book, Dr. Italy Cianni demonstrates that this shouldn't be the case, that the law is only as respectable as its content, as Vargas Llosa once observed, and that some laws are inherently oppressive and exclusionary. In other words, Italy's book helps prove that unless it's the law of the weakest (Ferrajoli's famous definition), then the legal framework will have little to do with true law.
