El estudio de la psicopatía ha recibido mucha atención en el ámbito de la criminología y la psicología. Si bien tradicionalmente se ha abordado desde una perspectiva masculina, la investigación ha reconocido cada vez más la necesidad de comprender la psicopatía en las mujeres, especialmente en entornos como los penitenciarios. Las mujeres que se encuentran en prisión por delitos violentos a menudo presentan perfiles distintivos que difieren de los de sus homólogos masculinos. Este artículo explora la relación entre las mujeres y la psicopatía en entornos penitenciarios, haciendo hincapié en los factores subyacentes que contribuyen a la conducta delictiva femenina.
